The HUB is a walkable, mixed-use, transit-supportive Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND), designed by Seth Haryy & Associates. It is situated on an infill site between downtown La Plata and the adjoining College of Southern Maryland, helping to complete the full-build out of Greater La Plata.
Developed by Rosewick-Hawthorne Properties, in partnership with The Tower Companies, this 310-acre, three neighborhood project is planned as a post-Covid community based on traditional planning principles, and combines cutting edge-digital technology with housing types optimized for work-from-home (WHF) productivity.
The project also features a mixed-use neighborhood core, with WHF supportive retail and commercial services, programmed to complement downtown La Plata’s businesses, and also boasts an innovative prototype Ag center inteneded to facilitte local, independent sustainability.
